The 2026 Nationals Are Officially Underway 🇺🇸🏆

It was a day of pomp and circumstance as Laguna Beach Lawn Bowling Club officially welcomed the 48 athletes who earned their place at the 2026 Bowls USA National Championships.

The Opening Ceremony began with a processional led by Piper Chrisy Orcholski, representing athletes from all seven Bowls USA divisions, accompanied by the Laguna Beach Police Honor Guard. The ceremony continued with the National Anthem, sung by Dee McSparran, followed by remarks from Master of Ceremonies Scott Roberts, SW Division President John Billon, National Committee Chairperson Ginger Harris, Bowls USA President Pam Edwards, and Laguna Beach City Mayor Mark Orgill.

Then came the moment that officially set the Championships in motion: Mayor Mark Orgill rolled the first jack, followed by Nancy Santos delivering the first bowl. 🎯

And with that, the 2026 Bowls USA National Championships are officially underway!

LBLBC is proud to host this prestigious national event for the second consecutive year and to welcome the finest competitors from across the country to our greens overlooking the Pacific.
