We wonder how many Centenarians we have within our community.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Derek Iles of the Karaka Bowling Club for recently reaching a remarkable 100 years of age recently!

Derek Iles has been a member of the club since the early 60s and throughout that time has dedicated much of it in providing valuable service.

These include Club Secretary and a stint as Club President for a period during the 1990s.

Derek has been a life member of the club for a number of years now and five years ago was inducted as the club patron.

Club members have unanimously agreed to name the clubroom after Derek and a plaque will be placed for all to see on the outside of the building facing the playing area.

Pass on your well wishes below, and we will make sure that they’re passed on to Derek.
